Hi, I'm looking for a modification that will allow my users to post comments about other users that are shown when they click on the username.  Similar to eBay's feedback system.

For example:
Rick (50 comments)

And when you click on my name, besides displaying the normal things like post count, date registered, gender, etc..  ; it also displays comments about me written by other users.

I'll appreciate if anyone can help me with this.

Thanks,
Rick

A user 'rating' feature would be easier, and quite possibly better.  Let me know if you want this,  because I *might* could do that in a reasonable time.    If someone else does want too (which I would like better, hehe).

I have not worked on E-Blah for like a week ... well, since last Thursday I think, maybe wrong though ...   I wish someone would do it, it would not be too hard.

I have a trding forum also and would like the code. Actually, I know someone who actually did this AND a star ranking system, and they have eBlah 2.something...

Here's a link. http://www.nonmint.com. The admin refuses to lend me the code ("It's a secret", lol) and I can't find it anywhere on script sites... grrr... hmmm, Maybe if the core eblah programmer asked him...

lol

Basically for mollychops
Although it is also for all.

If I read your post correctly, you are looking for a "feedback" script for your website. This is in addition to a forum feedback mod.

If this is the case then go the following url for a free download.

http://willmaster.com/master/feedback/#liveform

I use it on one of my web sites, It really works.
However read the manual and the install instructions completely, don't guess, install will go well.

It will send you an email of the visitor’s comments, complete with the

REMOTE_HOST:
REMOTE_ADDR:
HTTP_USER_AGENT: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0)

I just tested it again... Guess what?? It worked just fine.
(I just lifted above host info from the email I received from the script although I deleted the actual addresses).

If you scout around their site you will also find many other good free and for $$$ scripts. They’ve been around for many years, and I have used several of their scripts within a couple sites I designed.

I plan to use the feed back script in the site we are developing at the moment which will include the E-Blah forum system.

P.S. I just installed the Platinum 5 version on our own in-house server (we use to test scripts and site layout et.), took me UNDER one minute. The install on the remote server should take several minutes longer as I have to apply the proper chmods (permissions). I don't anticipate a problem!

All the best

Mel

p.s. mollychops, if you need more scripts, let me know.

For all to know!

I would like this mod too.
What do you think would be necessary - I know perl, just don't use it hardly at all anymore (I love ASP.Net for everything and javascript... I used to use perl alot... too lazy now I guess)
Anyways, I could tell you how to do it in ASP.Net... LOL but that won't help much here I bet.
hints would be good as to the best approach, HINT HINT Justin
