I have a couple of users on my site that use macs and they cannot use any of the smilies or buttons they have to type the codes in to use the commands. Is this a problem on their end?

Yes. However, make sure they have 1) Java Script installed (correctly). And 2) make sure YOU have the newest version of bc.js.
