I have a couple of new Menus I'd like to add to my portal page. Both have are slightly different. I already have the one posted, but the other should be easy for me to do I just need some guidance.

I want to make a menu of the last 5 posts to a certain board(my articles section if you have visited my site before and know the url). I don't need the actual post listed like the news script does. Just the title, who it was posted by and when and how many comments there are.

You'd have to modify news.pl and just don't include the message section (add an if statement should work).

Ok, I think I need to be more specific, what I need is a Menu for Category ID 1, Board ID 2 and all I want listed is the title, who it was posted by and when and the number of comments. This would be in addition to having the News Script that goes down the center of the Portal page.

Could it be possible to add a second news script? Then I could just copy the news post section of portal and change it to work with news script 2.

Ok, I probably wasn't really clear on what I mean.

You know how we have a News Script option where we can select Boards that we want to Display as News.

I was wondering if we could make a mod from News.pl and name it News2.pl so we could add another News Script option so I can select a 1 board in the original News Script and a Second Board in the additional News script so I could have 2 seperate listings of news. This way I could modify the way the second News listing looks by removing the body of the message so I can list the last 5 Articles. We do not produce Articles as fast as we do News so I don't need to list the Articles body on the Portal.

Justin, ok, I really want to attempt to do this. In fact I want to add 2 more news scripts (1 so I can list Articles and the other for News) this way I can have articles and news scroll down the center of the portal and then I can have a list of the latest news and articles seperated. I am going to attempt to do this on my own. Hopefully I will need little guidance.
