First off excellent board!!! I've been watching for something to replace yabb.

My avatar pull down doesn't work in the profile section.

It keeps asking if I'm 13 when I register a new user. I have upload the bc.js in binary.

In admin profile it show the default email. But in the board email it does show the correct email. Is this because the admin and board email can't be the same.

I have selected the quick logoff but it keeps asking me to answer yes or no before logging off.

Thanks in advance for your help.

1.) Your avatar DIR is not correct.

2.) Disable it in Settings (Admin/Settings -- Board Settings)

3.) Check Settings (Admin/Settings -- Essential Settings)

4.) Have to look at that one. Could possibly be a bug ..

Thanks for the info. Strange my gifs and smileys are in the same directory structure as the avatars and they are working fine. Maybe I'll relocate the directory and see what happens.

Couple of other bugs I have found.

I can only go up to, If I recall correctly, November on the calender.

When entering a birthdate in the profile it won't take anything before 1970. I'm and old timer need to go back about another decade.

Thanks,
Mike

Calendar seemed okay. Make sure you aren't manualy putting the month in. If it's Nov. your looking for it will be month 10.

Profile, I know ... still haven't fixed that yet. I'll have to do a little work. Unix systems use dates like "1032832298", and well ... they don't support dates before 1970.

I found the bit of code in the profile.pl that referenced 1970 I changed this to 1920 and it worked fine with the information that I put in.

As mentioned earlier my avatar pull down isn't building a list of a available avatars. I'm still working on this.

What about the time when a new user registers. Does this have to be manually set the way I had to do it. Or, should it be picking up the server time plus or minus the offset.

Thanks for checking the post.

Mike

ps...Almost forgot the calender won't go into the next year. How do we overcome this? You mention to make sure I'm not manualy entering a month I should be using the number of the month. Where do I manually add a number??

1.) I added that because of some error ... oh, it won't accuratly show your age, and the calendar will put you back to 1969, lol.

2.) Donno. Ensure your DIR is right ... make sure it's NOT a URL

3.) The user has to change it to their liking.

A.) No, you can't go to other years ... yet. And also, you add a number trough the URL (Address Bar).

I've played with the directory and so for no luck. As I mentioned earlier, I put the avatars in the same directory as the smilies and gif. They display with no problem but still no luck on the avatars.

I'm a UNIX sys admin. I thought there was a patch for the 1970 issue. After changing the code to 1920. My age is displayed correctly and no issues with the calender.

Thanks,
Mike

There COULD have been a fix for unix. My Windows perl version gave errors ... lol. And give me the URL to your board, and let me make a Username or something (with admin abilities), and I'll try and fix it.
