My problem is that my server cannot read .pl files. So I had to change all of the file extentions to read as .cgi and even change some of the code to reflect the changes (I hope that nobody minds). The board is up and looks great! But I cannot login successfully because the submit button is trying to call blah.pl (which doesn't exist on my server). So I'm get referred to a 404. I need to find a way to have the button call blah.cgi instead of blah.pl but I can't find the code to modify it. Any suggestions?

It's in Load.pl, open than and change Blah.pl to Blah.cgi (there are like 2 or 3 values you'll need to change, just do a search for Blah.pl).

Yay! Thanks for telling me where to look!

I'm still having a couple of problems... 1) I'm trying to register as a regular member for testing purposes. I get through the registration just fine but when I try to login it says: "Error- Your password is incorrect." I've tried logging in with and without the cookies turned on and I'm still getting the same error. When I go to ADMIN I don't see any of the names I've registered either.

2) I'm also trying to change my admin screen name to "Cissy." But it tells me instead that the username is already in use or invalid. It seems that I can change the name to anything as long as it doesn't start with a capital letter. Is there any way to change that? Am I doing something wrong?

If you like you can take a look at my board here: http://www.winged-psyche.org/forum/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.cgi

Thank you in advance!

You have a problem with chomding. You need to have world read and write. Chomd it 666 (along with all the files within the folder -- Members).

Oh thank you! I actually had to CHMOD the files in the member folder to 777. So it's working now.

I'm still having a problem though... (I must be so irritating by now )... Anyways, when I view the forum as a guest, or sign-in as a test member I registered myself as, I cannot view any of the boards and there is a message that says: "You do not have the right credentials to view this board." Did I do something wrong? How can I fix this?
